KAR TET CUT OFF MARKINGS
The candidates can make the rough calculation of their marks and rank referring the answer keys. The cut-off markings required for each category is different for getting short-listed. The cut-off markings change every year depending on the number of candidates attempted the examination and the toughness of the examination. The candidates getting marks above the cut-off will be shortlisted for the examination. Those candidates will be called for the next round of interview. The candidates must score 60 % in SC/ST category and 55 % in General category for getting short-listed in the test. The candidates scoring marks above cut-off will be selected to attend the Interview.
KAR TET EXAM PATTERN
The selection process is organised in three continuous processes. The candidates passing the written test will have to attend Skill Test (Teaching Methodology Test) and Personal Interview for the final selection. The questions in the written examination will be multiple choice type. Written examination is conducted in two separate papers. The Paper one is for Selecting Primary Stage Teachers and Paper two for Elementary Stage Teachers. The total duration of the written examination is two and half hours. The candidate must have to attempt a total of 150 mark question for the test.
